Stable Equilibrium Rotor Positions for Three-Phase Switched Reluctance Machine

In mobile applications such as eletric vehicles, weight and installation space are the primary limiting factors that affect system efficiency consequently driving range. Reusing machine windings of an electrical inductors, e. g. in DC-DC converters for onboard chargers, saves space. However, currents when operating converter can result undesired torque ripple generated by machine. Therefore, stable rotor positions a switched reluctance have to be found prevent it from rotating operation mode. this study, wide range current distributions determined, enabling flexibility choice currents. A method analyze equilibrium motors is presented. The proposed used determine facilitate flexible distribution between phases. Moreover, locus curves calculated, simulated, measured illustrate evaluate various distributions.
